For all those who responded to my "What Should I Post Next?" blog, I'll star posting "Normalcy Is Harder Than It Looks" on Monday. Only, instead of posted 3 chapters, twice a week, I'm going to try posting one chapter a day, Monday thru Friday. It's one less chapter per week, but then again, it's something every day your supposed to be working.
So, the rest of you can blame those few who responded for not getting a new story (which is available on SOL anyway. ;-)
I'm on the proverbial horns of a dilemma (a minor one).
Should I continue posting the next book in my The Catalyst series, 3: Normalcy is Harder Than it Looks or postpone it an post my newest sci-fi story, The Demons Within?
It's difficult enough posting different stories to different sites, but I'd rather not complicate things further by posting multiple stories at once at each.
Your thoughts on this are appreciated.
Several editors, lead by Thornfoote, TeNderLoin and Omachuck (all of whom edit for me, and several other authors—though not all participated in my original Catalyst series) are organizing an Editor and Proofreaders Appreciation Day (shouldn't that be "Editors and Proofreaders'"?) to recognize the contributions of, you guessed it, editors and proofreaders.
I fully support the idea, and we're hoping to spearhead an organized contest at SOL and its associated sites (this one included) to highlight their contribution (we're still working out the details behind the scene).
As I've long maintained, despite their excellent work, any remaining errors in my text are entirely mine, as I placed the errors there and either hid them so cleverly they weren't detected, or refused to correct them because of 'Style differences' (serial commas and the like). They did the best they could with a lunk-head like me, so I'm not about to criticize them for my taking an unpopular (with some readers) Style decisions.
Correction: I forgot to credit the original proponent of the idea, Jay Cantrell. Thanks to him for initiating this action and all of his hard work over the years, too!
As many of you likely already noticed, and I only just discovered, chapter 2 was never posted correctly, instead chapter 3 posted twice.
Chapter 2: Facing the Inquisition of Friends and Family, helps set the tone of the upcoming story, so it's worthwhile backtracking and reading what you missed. Though, seriously, I'd reread the entire thing from chapter 2 forwards, as it'll change how the other chapters follow.
Hopefully the new chapter will post soon, but posts during the day can take anywhere from three to thirteen hours to post.
Alex Jennings returns, trailed by a bevy of women compelled to follow him, sensing something about him he doesn't comprehend. Returning to school after his adventures in New Orleans, he tries to return to normal life, only that may no longer be an option for poor Alex.
2nd of a 6 book series, this book includes an romantic incestuous theme only hinted at in the first book (consider this fair warning!). However, rather than being gratuitous sex, it fits into the unfolding plot (explained later in the series), just as the women who are attracted to him do.
