Reposting "The Final Audit" today — the same story, just a little tighter than it was the first time around.
A few small things got cleaned up: a punctuation pass throughout, and one detail near the beginning and end that didn't quite line up on a close read (the rejection letter starts life taped to the wall now, instead of framed, so the ending's image of it slipping loose and falling face-down actually holds together). Nothing structural has changed — same story, same ending, just a couple of loose threads tied off.
If you read it the first time, no need to start over; the changes are small. If you're coming to it fresh, here it is again, a bit cleaner than before.
