On the planet Crossroads there are portals connecting hundreds of worlds. On Earth, men go to Crossroads to participate in adventures on the planet Chaos as heroes. On Cassandra, women go to Crossroads to participate in adventures on the planet Chaos as Damsels in Distress.

John Carter was the first Grand Druid of the Druid organization in a thousand years and founder of the Druid College. The stories in this universe describe his life, the lives of his family, the lives of other Druids, and the lives of those impacted by the Druids.
