Chapter 11: Cole Harbor Prison
Gan!
He was actually betrayed by his mistress!
Hamilton left the glass cabin with a dark face, his hands bound by shackles, and walked towards the cabin door without looking back.
”Hanton!”
Doctor Lina chased him a few steps, but was blocked by guards.
Hamilton turned to look at the doctor.
”Take care of yourself,” Lina said excitedly, “I will find a way to help you as soon as possible.”
”Thank you,” Hamilton felt warm in his heart and glared at Mistress No. 1 again.
The hot trainee navigator just shrugged and spread his hands, not feeling any guilt at this moment.
They were just shipmates. When the ship exploded, their intimate relationship ended naturally.
Next, the Human Rights Council dispatched more than a dozen working groups to simultaneously enter the glass room to investigate and collect evidence. The action was very efficient.
Hamilton was taken to a separate interrogation room and underwent two full examinations. Fortunately, the identity of the altered person was not revealed.
He fell into a long silence.
If you were Hanton, what would be your best performance now?
It’s simple, be absolutely loyal to the Sherman Empire and wait for the Empire to rescue you.
Therefore, Hamilton remained silent when facing the Human Council investigation team;
A day later, faced with indifferent officials, Hamilton remained silent;
Two days later, when facing the interrogator in the interstellar court, Hamilton originally planned to remain silent, but he discovered that ... if he continued to remain silent, he might really be thrown into an interstellar prison!
He decided to say something.
...
Interstellar Tribunal Three is located in the center of Cole Harbor.
The core of Cole Port is an abandoned giant transport ship. Based on this transport ship, the alloy structure continues to ‘grow’ in all directions, and will continue to accept more abandoned ships and integrate more dismantled fortress plates., eventually forming this interstellar transit station that can accommodate a population of one million.
An M-type dwarf star continuously provides energy to Cole Harbor; the high technology contributed by the New Federation also allows simulated gravity fields to be followed here.
Of course, the vast majority of residents here are migrants.
People are more willing to settle and retire on physical planets.
The No. 3 Arbitration Tribunal, which is open to the public, can be regarded as the “Internet celebrity check-in” place in Cole Port.
The exterior of the arbitral tribunal looks like a sea bowl, just like the Colosseum in Hamilton’s impression; more than a dozen rows of seats surround it, with figures from different star fields and races sparsely scattered around.
In the middle of the tribunal, three judges - to be precise, they should be called public hearing judges - were sitting on anti-gravity stone chairs in mid-air, staring at Hamilton, who was slowly rising on a flying disc.
”Captain Hanton.”
The chief inquisitor is an elderly woman with short light brown hair and very sharp eyes. Her slender neck and limbs make her look elegant and weird.
The female inquisitor asked: “You will continue to remain silent today, right?”
Hamilton had no response.
He was reflecting on the sumptuous meals of the past week and the soft mattress on which he slept effortlessly.
The Human Rights Council really attaches great importance to the protection of human rights.
The female inquisitor nodded, looked at the text projected in front of her, and said slowly:
”You are an excellent Sherman officer, but Captain, those Imperial elites who were rescued with you do not care too much about the honor of the Empire. They have provided sufficient testimony to prove your guilt.”
Hamilton was suddenly wary.
Was his identity as a modified experimental subject exposed?
The researchers who participated in the ‘Hanton Transformation Experiment’ were all knocked unconscious by him and died in the explosion of the research ship ... Do the other researchers also know about the temporary experiment?
Hamilton groaned.
The female inquisitor stared at Hamilton with menacing eyes.
”I wonder what they said,” Hamilton asked quietly.
The female inquisitor announced a series of nouns: “Professor Kilgrove, Project Valkyrie, human modification experiment, genetic fusion, monster, Valkyrie ... Although you don’t need to add anything more, we still want to hear what you have to say. You are also one of the perpetrators.”
”I’m just a third officer,” Hamilton’s expression was full of helplessness. “I’m only responsible for the maintenance of the fire protection system and some emergency repairs.”
The female interrogator asked, “Are you directly involved in Project Valkyrie?”
”No,” Hamilton said, “I am not the executor of the plan. Whenever I enter the test area by mistake, I will be shouted back by those in white coats. The status of the third officer is actually very pitiful. This is a general rule.”
From the corner of his eye, Hamilton caught a glimpse of the middle-aged men in imperial military uniforms in the audience.
The savior has come?
The female inquisitor then asked: “The disaster of the destroyed scientific research ship was caused by the riot of the Valkyrie, right?”
”Yes.”
”According to the testimony of several bridge staff, you were standing on the main console and said a few words. You said you had to do some penetrating trauma on Valkyrie so she couldn’t move, didn’t you?”
”Yes.”
Hamilton added: “I just think it’s safer that way.”
He was betting that no one alive would know of the battle that took place in the aft compartment.
”Besides,” the female interrogator looked away from the documents in front of her and stared at Hamilton.
Hamilton’s heart was in his throat.
The female inquisitor said: “The trainee navigator, your sexual partner on this scientific research ship, confessed to us that you were extremely panicked before the Valkyrie launched the uprising and reminded her to find the lifeboat, right?”
The corners of Hamilton’s mouth twitched slightly.
This bitch who repays kindness with revenge, don’t fall into his hands again!
”Yes, at that time I judged from various signs that the Valkyrie might have lost control.”
Hamilton’s expression looked extremely sincere:
”The specific signs are complicated to say, and they are mainly due to the biological sixth sense – intuition.
