Chapter 16: Oh, My First Mate
Click.
At two o’clock in the morning, the door to the single cell was unlocked.
Hamilton jumped up alertly on the single bed, frowning and looking at the door that was slightly open.
A black card was inserted, and then the door closed again.
Hamilton’s ears twitched slightly, and the snoring coming from various cells could be heard clearly, and the sound of slight footsteps gradually moved away.
Hamilton waited for a while before walking to the door and picking up the card.
I don’t know what kind of material this thing is made of. I picked it up coldly and there was a note on the back that said ‘Apron No. 6’.
Hamilton put the card on the door lock, the familiar click sound came, and the electronic door unlocked by itself...
Oh, does it mean that he can escape from prison at will?
Are those guys who are doing some conspiracy behind the scenes so impatient to wait?
He had just been in this single room for six or seven hours, and he hadn’t even used his own toilet a few times!
Hamilton put his ear against the door and listened carefully. After making sure that no one was outside, he quietly opened the door.
He looked up and observed that the sentry post where the guards were supposed to be was empty; there were two miniature cameras above his head that were slowly rotating and aimed at his head.
’really. ‘
This detail confirmed Hamilton’s suspicion.
Superintendent Gulipa wants to make contact with Kolev, use this card to open the next cell, and then go to the apron of No. 6 with Kolev to leave?
Tsk, only a fool would believe that.
Hamilton seemed to hear the whispers of the guards hiding in the dark, and saw the sinister smile of the warden.
But for Hamilton, it was also an opportunity to connect directly with Kolev.
He walked to the next cell next to the wall and saw the metal nameplate attached to the cell.
’This is a vicious villain. ‘
’He killed countless people and was a feared pirate. ‘
’He must spend his last days here. ‘
’He must never be taken lightly. ‘
Inexplicably, Hamilton still has a little expectation at this moment.
He seemed to have seen a vicious man standing in a mountain of corpses and a sea of bones, with dark red mechanical prosthetics emitting weak electric arcs.
Suddenly, a green unlocking device appeared on the electronic lock in front of Hamilton, but Hamilton did not use the black card in his hand.
The door opens from the inside!
Hamilton immediately ducked to the right.
The door of cell 625 opened a crack, and a warm yellow light smeared out. Hamilton stared at the crack in the door carefully, and then he saw a person looking out from the crack...
Little old man.
Uh, is he the big pirate that he has been looking for for more than a week?
This is a thin old man with a white beard and long locks of hair, all showing his poor personal hygiene habits. The old man’s light green striped pajamas and the nightcap with cartoon images on it also look particularly unique.
If Hamilton were to describe it, this old man would be a bit like a shorter version of the film and television character Gandalf.
Of course, compared to this old man, the other black card in the old man’s hand and the paper magazine with the half-fruit girl on it were more attractive to Hamilton.
”Oh?”
The old man spotted Hamilton, and the two looked at each other briefly.
boom!
The alloy door slammed shut, and the electronic lock automatically locked again.
”We can’t let him escape!” ‘
Hamilton opened the electronic lock with the card in his hand, opened the door and rushed in.
The old man grabbed his cartoon nightcap, found a nearby wall and propped it up with one hand, pretending to be nonchalant, and raised his eyebrows at Hamilton.
”Hey, kid, what’s up?”
”Kolev, leader of the Black Dragon Pirates?” Hamilton asked.
The old man was stunned for a moment: “Yes, I am.”
The old man’s eyes suddenly became sharp, staring at the black card in Hamilton’s hand: “Wow, you have one too.”
”Someone arranged for me to escape from prison,” Hamilton said quietly, “but I think it’s a trap.”
”It must be a trap, they like to do it! They will give you some convenient conditions to make you escape from prison, so that they can kill you openly.”
The old man clicked his tongue and crossed his arms in front of him, as if this posture could help him find confidence in his body shape.
Kolev talked endlessly:
”Listen to me, kid, there are no death penalty regulations in the Interstellar Court. Everything here is transparent and will be monitored by various countries. As long as you behave yourself, they will have no way to target you.
”They don’t dare to poison us, as that would lead to an investigation by the joint investigation team, and they don’t dare to harm us directly here, as that would be criticized by human rights fighters from all walks of life, and it would affect their funding.
”Only a prison break is considered a direct threat to the life safety of the guards, and they have the right to kill prisoners with any crime.
”Of course I have the card in your hand, too. It’s just a trap that wants us to die.”
”I agree with your statement,” Hamilton smiled, “Then why did you go out just now?”
Kolev hesitated for a while and murmured: “A beast that has tasted freedom cannot enter his tomb in advance.”
Hamilton’s impression of the old man changed a bit.
But this Kolev ... with a height of over 1.6 meters, loose muscles all over his body, and a bulging belly, he seemed to have no fighting ability.
Kolev said: “Wait a minute, the style of these military pants ... are you Sherman’s soldier?”
Hamilton nodded.
Kolev stroked his fluffy beard and chuckled: “Sherman’s aristocratic ladies have really good skin.”
”Do you want to get out of here?” Hamilton asked.
”Of course, who doesn’t yearn for freedom? But it seems nice here?”
Kolev spread his hands and seemed to be trying to convince himself:
”Look, we have a great environment here. Except for not being able to connect to the Internet, I can do whatever I want, and they will ensure my life is safe.
”I am old, child. I am already seventy-two years old. My time has passed. I just need to wait here quietly for death to come.
”Not many pirates live to my age.
”Yeah, I don’t want to go out.”
Hamilton:...
This guy can really hypnotize himself.
”Okay, go back to sleep, young man. It’s unethical to interfere with the rest of the elderly.”
Kolev waved his hand and said with a smile: “If you want to ask me for some professional knowledge about pirates, I can teach you some secrets because of our relationship as prisoners.”
”excuse me.”
Hamilton turned around and opened the electronic lock, and before leaving, he repeated the sentence with a sneer:
”The beast that has tasted freedom cannot advance to his grave.”
Kolev’s expression was constipated.
...
Hamilton was lying on the single bed in cell 524, listening to the pacing coming from the cell next to him.
