Chapter 28

I was about to actually flash out a look of extreme anger on my face. I was tired of being left out and excluded from everything because I needed to learn. I had just witnessed the end of the fucking world for Christ’s sake!

I could see that Jake had come to almost the same conclusion that I had. To say that he or I were more than pissed off was the understatement of the century.

That’s when my face went slack when a brilliant, crazy and brilliant idea hit me. The only problem that I saw was getting the military types to agree with us, yeah bullshit central.

It was at that moment that I noticed that Jake was watching me. I knew that he knew that I had an almost ridiculous idea that had come to me.

I walked over to him as I thought of a shield that wouldn’t let anyone be able to hear us as I started in. His face at first was incredulous, a smile came to it, then he described several traps he’d developed decades ago.

Another idea came to me as I started in on it as all our Jinns and my sister looked on slightly afraid. They tried a few times to get closer to us, then were frustrated when the shield kept more than noise out.

When we broke from our little meeting we were both smiling at the ideas we had discussed. We both had to smile as the ideas were so ridiculous they’d work.

I looked at Jake then asked what he thought about the ideas I had. He started to laugh as he thought that they were so ridiculous that they couldn’t fail

I then asked if we should tell all our Jinns and my sister. He was deep in contemplation for a few minutes, then turned to me.

“I’m not really sure, I mean I trust mine as I am sure you do yours. There is a chance though that Habib might learn or hear what we have planned,” Jake said.

I thought about it also, then I remembered all the help I had and the many protections I had. I then went on to describe all of them and exactly what they did.

For a moment he could only stare at me as if he had heard of almost all of them. “The only problem I see? Is getting them all in place fast enough to actually use them,” he said.

“For now, I think that we ought not to tell them exactly what we are planning. This way we can’t be accused of lying not completely,” I said.

Jake had a look of doubt on his face after I had said this. “I just hope that they don’t ferret it out of me,” Jake said with uncertainty.

I sighed as I felt that he was afraid that he would reveal what we were doing. I mean he had been with his Jinns a hell of a lot longer than I.

I thought that I might be able to help him keep it secret. Then I realized the fight that we had where we nearly knocked the hell out of each other. Yeah, that wouldn’t work, as we were as strong as each other. Then too, there was the fact that he’d been doing this decades longer.

I thought of all this for a few more moments, then a sly smile came to my lips. I then started to discuss a few more things that made him smile also, and agree.

All my and his Jinns along with my sister and Aunt, were waiting for us when we broke the bubble. I could see the relief on their faces when we were friendly to each other.

We walked over to me and my sister’s parents. “You know that this isn’t over not with Hajib still out there. We managed to dispel half of all the shit when we saved the mage king,” I said.

“It seems that the problem with Hajib has been compounded. The council has exiled him from the Jinn realm, making it far worse for this realm,” Jake said, taking over.

“We have a plan, but it’s going to take a lot to happen before we are rid of him. I managed to free my Jinn Catherine, and my sister, plus we discovered our power,” I said. “Though, as powerful as we are, it isn’t enough.”

“It appears that Hajib has the help of an ultimate powerful necromancer, Rathma,” John said, causing all there to gasp.

My Aunt could only stare at us. “You mean the son of Lilith and Inarius, The first Necromancer? What in the hell are we involved with? It’s been said that no other knows more about it than him.”

I nodded at her as I had, had no idea just who we had been dealing with. The Jinn council didn’t have enough power to handle this, hell, I didn’t think I had enough. Even if I was stronger than the whole council, I was going to need help.

That’s when I felt all the charms around my neck and my pockets started to grow warm. I got a flash of thoughts from all that I had helped, filling me with more than hope.

I felt the messages from King Gregory, Queen Amylin and Zeus. The sisters of the sea and the light, then the brothers of the sand and the gem brothers. I also heard my sword, Felensar, speak up as well as the Guarding Knight.

I realized that I had a hell of a lot more support than I thought that I had. When all of them mumbled their consent, I started to smile.

I looked at Jake’s Jinns and my own plus my family, an almost wicked smile playing on my lips. “I do believe that I have a definite plan to finally end this,” I said, smiling more at Jake.

Far back in the past, Hajib and his friend Rathma were trying to think about what had gone wrong. “How can everything that I planned have gone wrong?” He looked at Rathma, “It had to have been your worthless dead! You need to gather all that you can, I want hundreds of millions not thousands.”

Rathma was in thought for a few minutes, then nodded. “It will take a good amount of time to gather them. It might be a month at the least,” Rathma said.

Hajib started to growl as he raised his arm to cast then stopped. He remembered that even if he allowed it, his deity protection was very powerful.

Hajib looked at the bottom half of his body that was currently missing. He then nodded to his friend, “Alright, get on it as soon as possible. I want a damn army to take that abomination, then the world. Perhaps through time,” he started, then stopped when Rathma shook his head, no.

“The Mage king is still alive, as the abomination stopped your assassination of him. There is no way that we can defeat all of them at their full power,” Rathma said.

A look of seething anger crossed Hajib’s face at these words. “I don’t need to be reminded of my recent failure. That and the assistance of the ever last master’s interference.”

“With the millions I am calling through time, we should be able to defeat them in no time. Regaining the Jinn realm though, is far beyond my power,” Rathma said.

“I am not as concerned with that, as I am the death of the bitch’s new bastard master,” Hajib spit as he stared at his torso and started to rebuild below his chest.

“I would help with this, as would my dead, but our power is far too foreign to yours. I have tried several times and was rebuffed back a few hundred feet,” Rathma said.

Hajib dismissed Rathma, he then started to concentrate on his reconstitution. Rathma had started in, as soon as Hajib had advised him what he wanted.

He could feel a slight strain as he started to call those that were in the next ten years first. He could see that it was going to take a very long time to get as many as he could.

He wasn’t sure that even a thousand years was going to be enough for Hajib. He was obviously wanting all that he could get to gather here.

That was millions of years, not a small feat even with all the power that he had. He had to concentrate a great bit as those nearest him were resisting the most.

He knew after he was a hundred years out that the dead wouldn’t resist as much. It just took a hell of a lot more energy when they resisted as they were now.

He could see that the dead here weren’t that much closer to modern humans, so they were being difficult. He sighed as he poured more power into his necromancy.

His friend was always as difficult as he could be. Personally, he really didn’t care what his friend did as it didn’t really affect him.

His mother, Lilith, hadn’t really given a shit about humans instilling that into him. As long as he got what he wanted, then he really didn’t find anything wrong with what he did.

Besides, he did owe Hajib a great deal after the Jinn had helped him secure a few choice humans for his experiments. Then again, he wasn’t a fan of me either because a few of his experiments I had reversed.

Many of them I hadn’t found yet. I thought that Hajib had been the one to do this to innocents. I wasn’t as obviously mad as Rathma was, although I did have anger over what he’d done.

No, Rathma was more than furious that I had managed to reverse several of his, what he considered to be his best. King Gregory and the Dwarfs were the ones he was the angriest about.

I found out later that Rathma had been somewhat smitten by Gregory’s wife, the Queen. When she had rejected him with the greatest scorn he’d ever faced, he almost lost his mind.

It might be said that Gregory had more power than was known at the time, as he’d set her with a curse and not death. Gregory had hoped that the Jinns would be able to cure her though they never appeared.

It seemed that the messengers that Gregory had sent had been intercepted. That was the main reason why he had been so distraught and non-caring as he was when we met.

It also appeared that once I had broken the curses that Rathma cast, he couldn’t again a second time. Another reason that he was feeling more like a failure that he was.

Rathma sighed as he started to cast as fast as he could. He knew that his mother and that bastard of a father of his wouldn’t help him at all.

Back in the year of the accident, I was still pissed as hell at my parents. I had called the Jinn council with them immobilized where I had put them.
