En’tra concentrated more, and her eyes grew wide. “When I disappeared, they sent a stronger one. I know her, she is a merciless killer. Much as Dan described about many that he has met.”

“That’s why he has such a low opinion of the people here. By the gods, I would also if I was treated as badly by most of the people as he was,” Anna said with tears falling from her eyes.

They spread out to search when Danea yelled that she had found him. She was at the edge of the crater staring down at Dan, whose hands were glowing bright red.

She whispered to the others as tears started to fall. Dan was bleeding from several places, his face especially.

“DAN!” Bell almost screamed when she saw him. “What happened to him!” Bell had started to levitate, shocking the others.

At her yell, Dan’s eyes cleared for a moment as the red glow started to diminish. Bell landed near him, though couldn’t get closer than six feet.

“Get away from me, Bell,” Dan said sluggishly. “I’ll only get you killed. I’ve almost killed the rest of them, and they’re rightfully mad at me. Just go, let me die, got, got nothing left, let me die.”

With that, he passed out his energy very low. Tygan and Kim’ta were beside him immediately pouring healing energy into him.

Again, briefly, he awoke and tried to push both Tygan and Kim’ta away, to no avail. The rest of them had seen this and were more afraid of how he’d be when he awoke.

“You eight, need to decide what you are going to do when he awakes. He was trying to protect you all, and you turned your backs on him,” Bell said.

“You all have to remember he is human, nothing like the pompous and not-caring ass of males that are here. From what I see here? He gave the fuck up and decided to take all of the monsters with him that he could,” Ella said.

Bell looked up at her sister and asked, “Can we just take him with us and leave them here? They obviously don’t give a shit about him.”

Ella looked at the other eight females with a scathing look. “We didn’t mean to,” En’tra started.

“Yeah, well, I’m not the one that you need to convince. You see all of this? He was trying to die! Do you understand he didn’t think it was worth going on. We tried to get him to stay, but we weren’t enough, he needed all of you, and you walked away,” Ella said.

“If you really love him, as I think that you do as the both of us do, then you’ll have to prove it,” Bell said after a deep breath.

The other eight could only stare at the two witches that had verbally spanked them. They then withdrew a bit to discuss exactly what they needed to do.

Ella and Bell had made a small covering for Dan to keep him out of the sun, they had water ready as soon as he awoke.

It was almost dark when Dan finally clawed his way to the surface. The first thing he saw was the face of one of his only female friends, Bell.

He reached a hand out to her face, gently rubbing it against her skin. “You have such soft skin,” he said as she nodded her head as tears escaped her eyes.

He was slightly confused as he then saw Ella and her eyes had tears also. “Your finally awake,” Ella said. How are you feeling?”

“Ugh, like I went as few rounds with a boxer,” he said, then winced as he tried to move. “Shit feel like a truck ran over me, then backed up over me, then went forward again.”

“You’re gonna to feel weak for a bit as you exhausted your power. Even with as much as you have,” Ella said.

Dan nodded, then tried to sit up again, then gave up as the energy just wasn’t there. “Yeah,” Dan said as he drained the water that they held to his lips. “Feel worse than I did each day in the Dragon caves.”

With that, they helped him to get more comfortable, then he was out again. Ella and Bell were glad he hadn’t asked after the others as they didn’t want to upset him.

They both could see that the other eight were still deep in discussion. They shook their heads, though they knew that the females were of this world and were a lot different than them.

Still, Bell thought how hard was it to see that Dan cared. A whole hell of a lot more than any of the males here.

She again decided that they should just take Dan and leave away from them and live with him. She shook her head, she knew that Dan wasn’t like that, never had been.

With a sigh she saw that they had finally concluded whatever they had been discussing. It seemed that whatever they had decided was going to have to wait ‘til in the morning. Oh joy, Bell, thought.

Cre’sa had managed to crawl a great distance away into the destroyed forest. That creepy male, white elf had left her to die as he ran bleeding in several places.

She herself had been tossed more than a hundred meters, thirty meters high. She felt that almost all her ribs were broken, her legs refused to work, her arms were cut and scratched up, and she was out of power.

She’d never seen anything like that mage. She could swear that she and the white elf had created tens of thousands of constructs. The plower that the mage had, he’d kept destroying them as if he didn’t care.

She smiled a bit as she thought of the injured white elf. The damn coward running like that, even as she continued ‘til the mage zeroed in on her.

She’d also felt him shadow step, a rare power for any male as it was almost always a female power. She was actually feeling a bit of respect and awe at the mage, or she should say human.

A human of all things and he had more than five powers, no wonder he had been so hard to kill. She then thought if she really had a chance to kill him at all.

She sighed as she felt that it really didn’t matter at all. She’d barely managed to stop the internal bleeding, never mind all the broken bones.

It shouldn’t be too long now, she thought, as if the wounds didn’t kill her, the sun and thirst would. She didn’t notice when she was picked up and carried to a camp a distance away.

Dan awoke the next morning feeling a whole lot better then he remembered the fight the day before. That’s when he noticed that he was backed up to a female form.

As dark as the female was, he at first thought it was En’tra. A gasp from him brought Bell before him. “Who in the hell is this?” he said, trying to crawl away.

“We found her in the woods a good way from here, she was hurt pretty badly. She’s also pretty powerful, as we haven’t been able to heal her, except for internally, but not much,” Bell said.

“What, you want me to heal her? She might be one of the ones that were attacking me,” Dan said, looking at Bell, then sighed at her puppy dog eyes.

He shook his head as he held a hand over the dark elf. A moment later, everything inside her was fine. He then ran a hand over her arms, which were healed in a few moments.

It was at that moment that she awoke staring at the both of them. Then she felt inside her eyes going wide then she saw that all the cuts were healed.

She looked afraid as she felt that her legs were badly broken in more than twenty places. She had tried to start her personal healing, but the pain interrupted her power.

She looked at the handsome male shaking her head, wasn’t this the one that she was supposed to kill? Dam it she thought what in the hell was wrong with her?

“I’m sorry did you get caught in all of this?” the male asked. Pointing to all the destruction, Damn his voice was calming. She only nodded.

She just looked at him, too stunned to speak. Finally, she got out a hiss, “Hurt so bad, hurt legs.”

Dan could feel all the breaks that she had throughout the entirety of both legs. They were really bad from her hips all the way to her toes.

“I am going to try and heal your legs though I am afraid that it will take a long time. May I?” She looked at him in fear as he waited for her permission.

He smiled as she hesitantly nodded yes. At first, she felt his power as it went through her hips. The bones were actually knitted back and were whole again.

He looked at her after her hip bones were whole. “I am afraid I can only heal one leg at a time. I am also afraid that it will hurt quite a bit. I will stop if it becomes too much, OK?” Dan asked.

Cre’sa was amazed that the bones in her pelvis were whole again. A great deal of the pain was gone through all of both legs felt shattered.

She was already amazed that her pelvis was whole though she feared that she’d never walk again. The male started to run his hands down her left leg, the healing rolling through it.

It took almost an hour, but she was amazed that not only was it healed completely, it didn’t hurt nor was it sore. The male had stopped as he’d seen great tears rolling down her face though she made no sound.

Who in the hell was this mage? She’d never felt nor seen a healing as complete as he’d done.

“I think you need to sleep, if I do anymore, I am afraid that you’ll pass out,” he said with that disarming smile of his.

She nodded to him, afraid to speak that her voice might make him go away. With almost all the pain gone, she managed to fall into a fitful sleep.

Her mind was torn as to what she had to do and what she wanted to do. The dreams she experienced weren’t of much help either.

She awoke a few hours later, turning at the sound of low voices. The male was near her though her eyes flew wide as she saw the assembled females.

Dear God, she thought two witches, a mermaid, a Golem. Two white elves, a Felich, a Harpy, a Dragon dear god, an actual Dragon! Ah, there it was the dark elf, wait wasn’t that En’tra? She looked far different. She could see all their power.

She shook her head; one was in the high mid-range, four were in mid-mid-range. The last five were all in the low-mid range. It wasn’t as hard as she thought, though she could feel that the Dragon was close to the low high range.

She looked at the Dragon, nodding her head, she’d have to be careful around that one. She herself was only in the high-mid-range with her five spells.
