Chapter 15
“I think we’re quite safe here, though I do have a few even more deadly deterrents.” I was surprised at the stern security he had.
“Damn dad, I take it, you have used it before?” I asked him, only to see him smirk.
“No, not yet, but I have it just in case I need it. As I always said, it always pays to be well-prepared,” he said as his smile grew.
I nodded as I looked at a few more things that he hadn’t mentioned. “So, we just have to get these out to trusted news agencies,” I said.
Dad nodded his head as he agreed, “That’s why I have already put out feelers to all of them. I might be in it anymore, but I still have my old resources.”
I sighed as I now had multiple things that I needed to work on. I smiled at dad as I thought huh, not bad for a blind girl.
It was several hours later that Dad’s odd phone went off. He was on it for maybe a minute at most, then hung up with his lips in a tight line.
“Damnit, dad grouched as he looked through his other contacts. “It appears that the top news agency has been more than compromised. I was afraid that they might have safeguards in place, this is going to be far more difficult.”
“Any chance that I can disrupt them at their cores?” I asked dad.
Dad was quiet for a few moments, then nodded. “It’s going to take a lot of planning though, I think that a few falling? Just might throw them into chaos, we’ll have to see.” He was rubbing his face for a moment, then a sly smile came to his features.
“Uh, Dad? What is with this look?” I asked.
He turned to look at me as he stopped and said, “I don’t think we’ll have to kill them. We just need to remove the information and codes from them.”
I smiled as I thought that that was a lot better than whole sale slaughter. “So, I assume that you have a plan?”
Dad smiled wider as he nodded to me. He then outlined a plan that shocked me at first, then made me smile.
It was almost an hour later that I nodded to dad as I vanished. I appeared in an unassuming building next to a man with at least ten computer screen in front of him.
I held a hand out making the multitude of guards slump to the ground asleep. “You!” The man said as he was reaching for the console and keyboard. Then he gasped as he found that he couldn’t move.
“I think that it’s time you no longer did this,” I said as he screamed as I took what I needed, then wiped out everything that he had been doing for the government. Hell, I barely left much there at all.
I touched the guards, leaving them dazzed and confused. It appeared that they knew that this was only a job and not much else. What they did know was gone just as fast.
I repeated this with five others, making sure I destroyed the computers and all the back-ups they had. All this took about two hours and I felt that the chaos was making many terrified. It seemed that they suddenly had nothing, as I had wormed into their systems also.
True, they had a lot of security, but I wasn’t another computer. I basically just pushed through as if they weren’t there.
Plus, there was the fact they lost the original back-ups and quite a few of the secure government storage. I laughed as there was a scramble to encode and save the information. This led me to even more CIA, FBI and NSA storage that I quickly destroyed.
I felt Sashya approaching each place that I had been in. I had just finished with the sixth person when I felt a surge from the back-up. I heard a massive explosion as I saw a huge plumb of from near the White House. I also heard the massive amount of sirens that were heading in that direction.
I heard dad as his thoughts came through, did you get all six?
I did though there are more that need taking care of. These were only aware of part of the information, I thought back.
I see that you got one of the main CIA and FBI storage areas. It appears that they are going to be caught with their pants down.
Did you see any info about the storage being shunted to other areas? Dad’s thoughts replied.
Not yet, though the one I got alluded to a few other places I have to check them, I thought.
Alright, be careful there are still three of them out there. I love you hon, fuck them up as much as you can, he thought to me.
I will dad, I thought, then disconnected. I again felt Sasha divert her direction toward me. I immediately vanished as I appeared at the first place that I had felt had been hinted to.
I appeared in a dusty room with a huge steel door at the end of it. I had started to put a hand on it, then stopped as I felt the charge going through it.
I appeared on the other side as I felt that there were only ten people here. That’s when an alarm went off as I nodded then sighed.
I then appeared beside the one that had sounded the alarm. I immediately cut the outgoing lines, seeing that half the info had been transferred.
The man was a whimpering mess as I took all that he had, then let him drop. I did the same to the rest as the3y were approaching me with tazzers.
I appeared in the next place as I immediately cut the outgoing lines. After I finished there, I went to ten other places as I took all that I could.
The headache I was starting to get made me leave and appear next to dad. I stumbled as I pointed to my head, dad then hooked me up to a strange apparatus.
I started to feel better a few minutes later as dad’s eyes went large as he looked at the info. “Yeah, it appears that to got almost all that were in Washington. It’s enough to seriously delay anything that they might want to do.”
I nodded to dad as my eyelids started to feel as if they weighed a ton. Dad snapped his fingers, barely bringing me around as the machine continued to drain the info.
The next thing I knew I was waking up the sun shining in the window signaling a new day. I shook my head a little to clear it more as I heard dad coming to my room.
As I was eating, Dad handed me a list of places to check. They were areas of supposed back-up that were throughout the country.
I nodded as I finished the first plate, then he brought out another plate. I kissed him as I vanished, and like the day before, I was deleting blanking and destroying everything I got my hands on.
Unlike the day before, I wasn’t as tired as I started to go to places that weren’t on dad’s list. This time I felt Kattra coming in far faster than Sasha had. Again, I was gone far faster than she could get there.
I thought I was safe even if I kept my appearance looking like a muscular male. I thought I was, ‘til I appeared in the next place and Kattra was there!
Luckily, I was more than ready as dad had taught me. The first blast was as if nothing had hit my shield, though what I sent back actually knocked her off her feet.
My male appearance smirked at her, “far weaker than I thought. Here,” I said as I broke her leg again. “Remember this?” Her screams told me that she didn’t.
I leaned over her and whispered in her ear as I cut the outgoing lines. “I’m sorry that you and the other two are going to die. I told you to leave me alone now? It’s war and I swear that I will take all that I can before I die.”
Kattra’s eyes went wide as I broke her other leg, then blocked her pain and her abilities. “I’ll die you can’t do this!” she yelled.
I sent the location of Kattra’s position as I finished deleting everything. I also blanked all those there, then I vanished as I watched from a distance away ‘til Sasha appeared.
I had thought of following them back but shook my head as I decided no. I appeared next to dad, he was watching several feeds ‘til Sasha and Kattra appeared in a secure bunker.
Timon came on a monitor his mouth dropped open as he felt that all Kattra’s abilities were blocked. He indicated a scan on the wall that Sasha did immediately.
Katrra was moaning in pain as Sasha tried to heal her broken legs. Sasha was wincing as Kattra was moaning more about saying she was nothing, that she had nothing.
Shasha looked at their leader, her mouth dropped open. “The wild user can take out abilities?”
Timon shook his head as he looked at the scan. “No, it appears that they are blocked though,” Here, he scratched his chin in thought. “How I can not see, nor how long. With as powerful as no .2 is, the wild user must be very powerful.”
At that moment, she started to moan, “They just wanted to be left alone. They have declared war on us, they said that we three are dead, and they are going to take all they can.”
This actually had Timon’s face into a lot of worry. As strong as the wild user was, no one had a chance, perhaps not even him.
Timon, for the first time in his life, was afraid. He didn’t want to call him nor the authority, to admit that they had failed was an almost death sentence.
As it appeared now, they might not have a choice. That and the only video of any of the fights that they now had. Though as he looked at it much was muted.
A few moments later, the authority answered his phone. “I have to report that the wild user is beyond me, they also broke number two’s legs again.”
There was silence at the other end. “Yes, we have gotten reports of almost all the knowledge of your project and a great deal more has been destroyed. Almost all back-up is gone, leaving us with very little.”
“Shall we continue, sir? The wild user has declared war on our entire system,” Timon said.
The authority was quiet for so long, Timon thought that they had been disconnected. “For now, keep watch and advise what they do ‘til he is activated. At that time, continue to remotely observe.”
“It will be as you advise, sir,” Timon said, knowing that they were dead no matter what they did.
