Chapter 6

I gritted my teeth as I tried to explain to her what had happened. I also explained that if she left this place she would revert back to the dark being.

I drew three more shorter dark beings to me as they turned into children that were crying. One of them was the woman’s niece.

I managed to gather another sixty people, twenty who were children. I managed to expand the field to the building next to my old home, before I felt the blob thing approach where we were.

I let them know they were safe as I vanished to the other side of the world. I landed where the telepaths and their council had hidden.

I started to expand the area that already seemed to have a great number there. I had it containing at least three farm buildings when I felt blob guy approaching again.

Yeah, I thought the screams and the stench were familiar after all. He and several dark beings hit the presence shield at full force, they were violently rejected.

I laughed at him as I made a cutting motion across my throat. The blob guy was ripped in half as I warned all there, then vanished.

As I faded, the dark beings with the blob started to attack the shield to no effect. I smiled as I had made all three shields far stronger than I thought I should, I was glad.

I thought that I had more to do in more areas, but I found what I had done had seriously weakened me. I appeared at the council building stretching my arms out, increasing the surrounding area to three times more. This got most of the council homes around it.

At mine and my sister’s old home, I increased it encompassing another four buildings. I also had all the surrounding ground, I had just gotten a fifth when they came.

I had a great part of the neighborhood now which I felt angered by the evil presence. They started to attack with several blobs and then a hundred shadow beings.

I reached out, drawing almost all of the shadows into the field. They quickly reverted back into human and mage beings. The biggest blob started to reach for the last twenty that I snatched from it.

These also started to revert to all humans. The blob screamed more as I heard it growl, “You have taken that which is mine. I will return them to the fold as I will this area.”

I smiled as I saw that the evil was indeed weakened, though not enough. “We will meet soon enough, Malacouy,” I said as it got a severe reaction from the blob.

I smirked as Malacouy’s face came screaming to the surface. He looked around as more of the blob drew in becoming part of him.

“Ah! The abomination, it is good to see you,” before he reached for me and his appendage dissolved. I smirked more as a look of disbelief appeared on his face.

“What’s wrong,” I said as the barrier moved outward another thirty feet. It actually touched the next two homes on the block across the street, “You seem a little weak.”

This, of course, made him growl and yell at us as he tried a few more times. Most of the blob’s body had dissolved as I slowly reclaimed both the homes across the street.

It was at that moment I saw that there were at least another thirty people hiding in them. Again, Malacouy screamed as they came out looking around, several of them were mages.

I felt a light touch on my shoulder as I nodded, then fell back gliding through time. It took exactly two minutes to traverse over a thousand years.

I appeared in the Tepee on the pallet I usually slept on. I could feel the exhaustion creeping into me faster than I thought it had.

My sisters and Iqua stood at the opening of the Tepee with their arms crossed on their chests. I smiled weakly as I stumbled to my knees.

They and several of the telepathic women and Leanna rushed to me as I tried to rise. “Reg!” Some of them cried as I again failed to rise.

I tried to shrug it off though my efforts were undeniably bad. I crumpled looking at Iqua with an apologetic look on my face.

“So, you tried to save more than you should have,” Iqua said as she passed a hand over me. She sighed as she smiled slightly, “You did far more than you thought.

I sighed as I shook my head no. “I was unable to find the main council leader, he wasn’t where I thought he was.”

A shimmering appeared next to me as the goddess from before appeared. “You did as I thought you would, I can already feel the supreme frustration of the evil. This means that they aren’t able to get to almost the thousand that you saved.”

I looked at her, shocked, thinking that I hadn’t saved even half that. She then touched my head as I saw that the council leader was indeed safe under the council chambers.

I smiled as I collapsed into a restful sleep. She smiled at Iqua, then my sister and finally the Telepaths, “All will be fulfilled after all this is finished. I am afraid that there is much he needs to accomplish.”

They all smiled, as did Iqua with a wistful look in her eyes. “It will be good to be the ultimate hope of the future, especially with him as powerful as he is.”
