Chapter 8

Nell had gone up though only by a twentieth, so I knew it was going to be a beast when we started again. I met her on the field and was about to start when I felt the barrier being breached.

I was there far faster than I had ever been as I saw the assassin appear before me. His evil smile let me know what he was here for as I made a slashing motion that shocked him.

I watched as he split in half and died, then I was behind another that was closer to the village. I squinted as I reached out and felt three others, then two as Nell dispatched one.

I killed the one before me, then I felt Gene kill another. Though the last was trying to kill Fay, shit!

When I appeared behind the one that was fighting Fay, I smiled, proud of her. Less than a week ago, I know for a fact that she’d already be dead, now? It was a far different story.

At least ‘til another showed up behind her, so there was another after all, nine total. The one behind her started to motion, then stopped when I wagged a finger at him.

His sneer decided my actions immediately as I raised a hand. He didn’t even have the chance to scream as he faded to nothing but ash.

The one facing Fay screamed as he started to fire at her. She tried to duck, but he hit her partially with a blast, he then sneered at me.

I felt my anger grow to monstrous proportions as he started to fire at me. His attempt was swatted away just by my battle aura.

When he saw that his attacks were bouncing off, he tried to vanish. When that didn’t work either, he found that his power was gone as he hit the ground like a stone.

I looked at him with an extreme look of rage as I released the pent-up energy. “Now, before you die, I want you to experience the pain that you have been inflicting.

“No! You aren’t allowed to,” he started.

“Oh, I am more than allowed,” I said as his body started to melt as if it was butter in the sun. I smiled, and he started to scream an almost inhuman sound from his throat.

The other three appeared at the sound of the screaming as they all tried to get me to stop. I made a backward motion as two were swatted away over a hundred yards away.

The third tried to hit me again as I simply pointed at him, and his legs and arms made snapping noises. He also dropped like a stone unconscious from the sudden pain.

The other two growled as the last of the one before me melted away into bloody slag. The other two yelled at me then vomited from the cooked skin smell in the air.

I then turned toward them, my eyes flashing red, my hands still glowing red. “I suggest that you leave now or, you never will,” I said, hardly recognizing my voice.

“You have to die!” the strongest of the two said. He then started to blast away at me, I was surprised I could actually feel him like a mosquito barely biting me. Again, I smacked the strong one away as he looked at the other.

“Gather that one,” I said, indicating the unconscious one. “I will allow the two of you to leave. The other?” I pointed to the one I had swatted. “He’s already dead. You really shouldn’t have messed with my family, big mistake.”

He nodded as I could see that he was shaking as he picked up the unconscious one, and I waved a hand as they faded. I then turned to the last as he was rushing toward me, a look of fury in his eyes.

He stopped before me though he could see that now I had a very calm anger on my face. I tsked as I looked him up and down. “Already dead, just too stupid to realize it.”

I felt my sisters appear behind me as my oldest Nell came to me. “You should let him go,” she said.

I shook my head as I said, “I can not give mercy to those that do not give, nor expect it.” The male before me sneered as he motioned again.

I just shrugged it off as if he’d done nothing. “That’s impossible, no one can sluff off that curse. What in the name of the scared power are you?”

My face twisted into a look of fury almost identical to the one he had. “I am the only male in a family that you tried to exterminate. Like the one that lies here, I will let you also experience the pain as he did.”

That’s when he found that he couldn’t move, what have you done, you monster!”

“Monster ha, says the one trying to rid the world of a family. Enjoy the pain,” I said as my hands started to glow again.

He struggled far more than the last had, then his face started to melt as his blood-curdling screams filled the air. My sisters turned away, surprised at the rage that I was showing.

I felt them move further back as the stench of roasting flesh filled the air also. When it was finished, I didn’t smile or yell, I just landed and stumbled onto my face.

I felt all three of my sisters lift me, and we were at Iqua and my Tepee. I saw Iqua as she rushed to me and I felt energy infuse me as I smiled, “Oops,” I said.”

Iqua nodded as I passed out and entered a strange dream. In it, I saw the same female that was shrouded in an almost blinding white light.

“Hello my champion, I feel that you are more disturbed than ever before. Please, do not despair, what they would have done to you and your sisters was far worse than what you did. As you said, you can not give mercy to those that do not give, nor expect it. A very true statement, you are not evil my champion, you are just eliminating it,” she said.

I felt a little better but not as much as I thought I would. If I was as good as she said I was, then was that why I felt as bad as I did?

I looked at her and could feel my face fall into an almost desperate look. “Why? Why do I feel so bad? It’s almost a giddy, happy feeling.”

She sighed a moment, then nodded, “Not as much, happy, as the feeling of true justice. The world is a much better place now that they are no longer here to torture people.”

My head snapped back as she showed me a few things that they had done to normal people. I was suddenly far happier that they were no longer hurting others.

I looked at her as tears fell from my eyes as I was finally seeing just how evil they had been. I then bowed my head to her.

“I ... I hadn’t realized that evil was that strong. I will do all that I can to end the cycle of pain and death that they are spreading,” I said, my head still bowed.

I felt her soft hand as she touched my head and power flowed into me. “Arise my champion, you have started to brush the evil away in your old time but you must continue. I believe that your old mentor, the council leader, will awaken soon. You should be there,” she said with a wide smile on her face.

I could only stare at her with my mouth open, “but they will kill me on sight.

Again, she smiled as she bent to my ear, “I don’t think so, especially as strong as you are now.”

When she stood back up, I was staring at her as if she had lost her mind. That’s when I started to feel the power thrumming through my veins.

“My goddess, I have never felt the amount of power that I have at this moment.” I stood up straight feeling proud. “I will do all I can to clear and release those that are still corrupted,” I said, bowing to her again.

“I know that you will, I have faith in you as you now do in me. Be well and destroy the evil that has invaded this world,” she said, then faded.

It felt like a long time before my eyes finally opened to see a great multitude of females around me. Then I saw that all of them were smiling in relief that I was awake.

Iqua was there also with her hands on her hips, “husband I thought I taught you to watch your energy. This is happening far too much lately,” she said with a scowl, though I could see she was just happy I was awake.

A moment later, a little, wiggling bundle was thrust into my arms as Quana cooed. I could see that she was happier to see me as her intense eyes stared into mine.

A moment later, Nell nodded as she said, “You need to gather your strength. Our training was interrupted by these rude idiots, ten times more than you. So, there is hope for you after all.”

I just smiled at her as the scowl deepened on her face. “I just hope that you have enough clothes or are you trying to temp me?” I said.

“Ha, you would be so lucky as weak as you are. It’s not my fault that you are as big a pervert as you are, wanting to stare at your sister,” she said, though I caught the blush and slight smile on her face.

“Well,” I started, “I might be a pervert, but I recognize supreme beauty when I see it. Makes me think I am not actually related to you three as ugly as I am,” I said. I dropped my face in shame at just how beautiful they all were compared to my ugliness.

Then the oddest thing happened as Nell, Gene and Fay got angry and left the Tepee. I just shook my head as I wondered why in the hell they were angry now. I was just speaking the truth as I always tried to do.

I looked at Iqua and Leanna, both who had looks of sympathy on their faces. “I may, after this, go off alone as it appears that I am pissing everyone off. It appears that I have angered everyone far more than I thought.”

“No husband, it’s not that. There are things that you don’t know that can’t be revealed at this time, Iqua said.

I shook my head as a look of anger crossed my face. “Then it looks like, after this, I am going away if the one I trust more than any hides shit from me,” I said as I reached out and vanished.

“I believe that we need to talk to his sisters and the others,” Leanna said. “He is far more angry than I thought he’d be.”

Iqua modded as she was in deep thought, as even she had no idea what to do right now.

I appeared about a block from the council building. I reached out and almost immediately connected it to the area that was from my old house.
