Chapter 9: New Feelings Old Ways

It’s already a year since Bullseye joined the protectors. They have nearly raided 400,000 immigrants from different planets and killed almost half a dozen powerful warlords having an eye for planet destruction. With Paula and Bullseye reaching a new heights of what their power could do. Captain Bullseye as he is called now places a sword high up in the cosmos from the top of Charlie’s island. The sword was gifted to him by the leader Charlie for slaying the Skrull monster. Already a year has passed since he has that beautiful sword in a sheath forged by the steel of Xarta. As he looks up the tip of the sword, and at the cosmos he becomes amazed that he could zoom at the cosmos although he could see planets overlapping each other in another star system of perhaps another galaxy. He had already discovered he could pull multiple arrows from his bow. Paul named it The Mighty Bow after the Skrull invasion. After this moment, he figured out it wasn’t the bow but his mind that was powerful. Although it was a long way to go, it puts the sword back in the sheath and then looks at the cosmos. But this time he can’t zoom. He then tries to remember himself and wanders what his name was and who were the voices that he heard when he thought he was abducted. Already a veteran of more than 20 battles, 100 hand to hand combats and already a giant slayer he still thinks himself as a youngster who still hasn’t found himself. It was true regarding his identity for his name wasn’t Bullseye.

Just below him inside the island’s cockpit is Darr the pilot. As he laughs to see the shoes of his friend at the window of the cockpit, he looks back at Paula the Commander who is superior to everyone inside the aircraft except Charlie. Baruto might contradict to this saying but even his superpowers are no match to her cosmic power whips from her torch. She looks at Charlie at a very different way she used to look at him a long time ago when she and her brother were summoned from mars. They shared the same star system as Bullseye to his unawareness. She looks at his blue eyes shining as he points Leftuinant Vaz to recruit more soldiers which has already reached 12000 now. Then She looks at his black spiky hair short but clean and shining just as his eyes. The lean neck and the pointy noise could attract any beautiful women across any galaxy. And yet there he was ever enthusiastic as a fresh recruited soldier as he looks everywhere to have a glance of Bullseye the man he thinks holds the key to make him reach a newer heights. He could read Bullseyes’ mind and tell him about everything that he could dig about him but he wants Bullseye to find himself about it. He then looks at Paula the Commander he respects and he believes will be his successor. Just as he looks at her, Paula moves her head to ignore eye contact. She knew she loved him even more than her brother or herself and yet she feared as she respected him with the maximum that thinking about him would harm their relationship. Paul in the other hand is the second most curious person in the island after John. He looks forward for his new adventure as he has already found a way to form a shield without the need of a weapon but he could only form an area of a box without his weapon. But still This was a development, a large one compared to John and Paula who could only do with weapons. He awaits the new challenge to come. Paul moves towards the pilot’s seat where Darr was seated. The pod needed only 1 pilot but the island due to its massive structure needed five with four at each corner and one main pilot controlling all. Paul and Darr would take turns to be the main pilot but Darr was the best at flying. He could swerve the large aircraft making an arc and edge it at the side of a mountain. But yet however funny he was with his words his eyes were very sad. For he doesn’t want to remember the day he left his planet to be a conmando. He remembers his son who would have been 16 earth years now. Just as tears try to run through his eyes paul pats in his back although he is unaware of Darr’s pain he still hugs him from behind as his first friend he made other than his sister. Darr can already deduce from Bullseye’s appearance that he is an individual from the solar system. Although he has never seen earth, he knows about human beings. He had read about them before at his planet The Elf’s World as they called it. He had read them that the human beings were middle sized at every body parts. And as he looked at Bullseye who was taller than normal human beings but middle sized at other body parts like hands, he could deduce him to be from one of the planets of the solar system.
