If I've done things right, new chapters for Love Never Changes will post on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings.
It's been a solid year since I've looked at this story, and it's almost like I'm reading it with fresh eyes again, getting reintroduced to the characters.
I'm starting the posting of a story I have on SOL (the main, more adult oriented sister site). This is a post-apocalypse science fiction story, but it's more about relationships. It IS set in the Fallout 4 universe, but I've had many, many people tell me that familiarity with that universe is not needed to enjoy the story.
As this is based in Bethesda's universe, it will not be posted on Bookapy. Under their very generous terms of usage, you can freely modify or write in their worlds, so long as you don't profit from it.
There are 33 chapters, plus the Foreword. Posting schedule will be two - three times per week until complete.
That will also give me enough time to finish A True History, Book Two, and I will start posting that here at that point.
Apparently the .txt file decided that quotation marks were special characters somehow or other. I uploaded a replacement copy, let's see if that makes a difference.
I made this blog post over on SOL. My surgery date (to fix cubital and carpal tunnel) is Friday. I have 12 chapters of Book Two done, and plan on cranking out as many as possible while I'm at home for the following week. (I bought Dragon 15 and a good noise canceling microphone.)
I've also had an experienced editor volunteer his services to me. He's redoing all of Book One now (and I''ll end up reposting the whole thing once it's been redone) and I'm sending his Book Two as I get it done.
As I've mentioned, this story is available fully on SOL if you can't wait, and also on Bookapy. I'm cross posting it here because there are readers of this site who look for Sci-Fi.
And from the response that I've gotten over the course of posting it on SOL, apparently my take on this story could play out is pretty decent. And just in case anyone wonders - I started playing with this idea back in 2016, but first wrote Legacy of a Legend (a Skyrim story that needs redone) and Love Never Changes (a Fallout 4 story that needs a quick re-edit, and then I'll post that one here, too). I think the delay in posting and writing made this a better story, because my writing skills improved.
Which means, no, I was NOT inspired by Homelander from 'The Boys'.
