Games Workshop's dystopian future where humankind is ruled by the ‘Eternal Emperor’, a pysker who is kept eternally alive by the sacrifice of lesser pyskers. Humanity is kept under martial law, and vast armies are utilised to protect against many enemies, like Demons from the Warp, Eldar, Orks, Tyranids, Necrons, Tau and, inevitably, other humans.
I originally wrote this back in October 2006 as the precursor to a series. Then I lost it. Now I have found it by chance via the internet wayback machine. The series was 'The Loyndl Incursion' and consisted of this, 'Arbitrary Arbites', 'Shopping with the girlfriend' three separate 'Tobias' stories and a couple of others.
