An Uncertain Future in a New Past. During the test flight of a prototype faster-than-light craft, Lt. Commander Ky is flung into the ancient past that never existed. Rome has fallen, defeated by the mighty Carthaginian Empire. Hounded by the Carthaginians bent on conquering the known world, Rome is on the verge of destruction. Stranded and alone, except for a tactical AI implanted in his head, Ky has lost everything and must find a way to live in a world different than anything he's ever known.

There is no hunger, no social hard ship and thus the core reasons for crime eroded. That is the official opinion and beleive of most. One percent of a population, that is counted in Centillions is still a very big number. The shiny, mighty Union is not perfect. Some say a free society can never be.

War has come to the continent and Lieutenant Commander Ky, a test pilot from the far future and Consul of the Britannic Empire, leads armies scattered across Germania and Hispania to liberate them from Carthaginian rule. The Carthaginians , however, refuse to surrender without a fight. Led by a seasoned commander, new armies with weapons from the far east are sent to counter the Britannians, with the entirety of Europe as the ultimate prize.
